Important Things To Do

I received an e-mail from a friend that is worth sharing to all of you. It's a list of things that are simple but often neglected to do. So for this year, I thought why not follow these steps. It might change our life to be more meaningful. So read on..

1. Take a 10-30 minutes walk every day. And while you walk, smile.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
3. Sleep for 7 hours.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
5. Play more games.
6. Read more books than you did in 2008.
7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
11. Drink plenty of water.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
14. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
15. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
16. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
17. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
18. Smile and laugh more.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
23. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about. Don't compare your partner with others.
24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
25. Forgive everyone for everything.
26. What other people think of you is none of your business.
27. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
28. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will.. Stay in touch.
29. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
30. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
31. The best is yet to come.
32. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
33. Do the right thing!
34. Call your family often.
35. Your inner most is always happy. So be happy.
36. Each day give something good to others.
37. Don't over do. Keep your limits.

Busy Sked

It’s Saturday today, and I’m at the office. Usually I don’t work on this day of the week because primarily we don’t have work on Saturdays in the first place. I just came here because I have a lot of things to do. I want to finish my reports before I take my leave of absence because I’m scheduled to give birth soon. My boss gave us a deadline of our Financial Statements to be finished audited by February 15 and aside from that we also have a lot of other tax deadlines. I can’t imagine how busy I’ll be for the next few days. To top it all, I don’t’ know who’s going to take my post temporarily while I’m on my maternity leave because I should have turn-over my work by now to whomever-this-person may be. Oh my gosh, I just hope that I would be able to cope up with the situation.

Cross-Stitching

I’m fond of cross-stitching since my high school days. I have quite a number of cross-stitches which I personally made displayed at our house. I also gave some of them as a gift; at least it is something with a personal touch. At our house, I had them framed so they would look nice and I just simply adore looking at them, it gives me a sense of accomplishment although they’re just simple and easy to make. But, mind you it also takes a lot of patience in order to finished one. When I will have the time, I will try to start cross-stitching again as an addition to my collections.

New Year's Resolution

As the New Year has just begun, it seems like everyone again is making a list of their new year’s resolution. It’s like a natural instinct that when a New Year starts you want to start anew for yourself also, it maybe a bad habit that you want to change or a project that you want to start with. Whatever it is, the big challenge is always how will you going to cope with it, because I’m pretty sure it will only be easy during the beginning of the process and it sometimes you get to loose on track.
Well, as for me. I will not promise, but I will really try to improve myself and change the bad habit of procrastinating especially now that I have new responsibilities as a wife and a mother. I hope that I will be able to have a good start everyday and end the day with a smile on my face that I was able to get things done.

Car Seats for Babies

When travelling with your baby in the car, it is convenient to have a car seat that best suits for the baby. However, there are various types of car seats to choose from that is available in the market today. For added convenience, especially for busy moms like me, we can just browse in the internet for there are certain websites that features these products. Isn’t it great? At least before actual purchasing we can already have an idea on what to buy.
The different types of car seats are according to the suitability that best fits for your baby. Sizes and weight of the baby is considered as well as the functionality of the certain type of car seat. It also has features that can help protect your baby further from any harm during inside the vehicle and makes it comfortable for the baby and as well as giving a feeling of at ease for mom and dad that their baby is safe and comfy.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone! It’s nice to be back after a long vacation from work. Although, I just stayed most of the time at our house, nevertheless it was an enjoyable and worthy time spent with families and friends. I had a lot of time spent in relaxation and of course one of my favourite pastime – watching DVD’s. I was able to watch a lot of movies; I had a DVD marathon to be exact! (lol) I also enjoyed our walking during early morning with my husband; it is my way of preparation as they say I have to exercise so I won’t have difficulty during my labor which is the due date will be next month already. Anyway, vacation is over and I need to get back to my daily work and activities. Hope this year would bring a lot of blessings to my family and as well as for all of us to continue to have a good health. May God bless us...
