Miracle

My cousin just arrived from the States and he gave me lovely perfume as a present. I bet his wife chose it and I am happy because it is my favourite perfume. It is the Miracle by LancĂ´me and it has been my favourite for a long time now. I am hooked to the scent of this perfume. It is very light, very feminine and yet very modern and sophisticated. I am confident when I am wearing this perfume because it doesn’t come on very strong which a lot of people don’t like. This is the kind of perfume which I can use from day to day, the more the scent settles down, the more that I like it.

Disoriented

It’s been four days since I came back for work from my 2 months maternity leave and it seems like I am still at a loss with regards to my pending work to do’s. I always feel sleepy and my mind is wandering, tsk..tsk.. I can’t seem to concentrate. Thank God, there is coffee; at least it helps in keeping me awake. Now what? I really have to get going or else I will be gone here forever, if my boss finds out. =)

Proud Mama

At long last, I can say that I am proud to be a mother. I already gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl two months ago. I overcame my fear of what it’s like to give birth. I had a wonderful experience and I must say that it wasn’t that really frightening at all. Thanks to my Ob-Gyne because she was so good in handling me during my labor and delivery of the baby, for assuring that everything will be alright, and most especially to God for answering my prayers to keep me & my baby safe.

Waiting Will Be Over Soon

Finally, the month that I’ve been waiting for has come. It’s already the month of February and anytime soon I will be a mom. I have mixed emotions, a feeling excitement of what is it really going to be like to be a mom and at the same time a feeling of nervousness since I have no experienced at all on giving births. As much as possible, I will try to deliver my baby in a normal way. Some says, it’s really going to be painful but being a mom, and the chance that I will be able to bring a Life in this world is incomparable.

Important Things To Do

I received an e-mail from a friend that is worth sharing to all of you. It's a list of things that are simple but often neglected to do. So for this year, I thought why not follow these steps. It might change our life to be more meaningful. So read on..

1. Take a 10-30 minutes walk every day. And while you walk, smile.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
3. Sleep for 7 hours.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
5. Play more games.
6. Read more books than you did in 2008.
7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
11. Drink plenty of water.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
14. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
15. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
16. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
17. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
18. Smile and laugh more.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
23. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about. Don't compare your partner with others.
24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
25. Forgive everyone for everything.
26. What other people think of you is none of your business.
27. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
28. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will.. Stay in touch.
29. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
30. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
31. The best is yet to come.
32. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
33. Do the right thing!
34. Call your family often.
35. Your inner most is always happy. So be happy.
36. Each day give something good to others.
37. Don't over do. Keep your limits.

Busy Sked

It’s Saturday today, and I’m at the office. Usually I don’t work on this day of the week because primarily we don’t have work on Saturdays in the first place. I just came here because I have a lot of things to do. I want to finish my reports before I take my leave of absence because I’m scheduled to give birth soon. My boss gave us a deadline of our Financial Statements to be finished audited by February 15 and aside from that we also have a lot of other tax deadlines. I can’t imagine how busy I’ll be for the next few days. To top it all, I don’t’ know who’s going to take my post temporarily while I’m on my maternity leave because I should have turn-over my work by now to whomever-this-person may be. Oh my gosh, I just hope that I would be able to cope up with the situation.

Cross-Stitching

I’m fond of cross-stitching since my high school days. I have quite a number of cross-stitches which I personally made displayed at our house. I also gave some of them as a gift; at least it is something with a personal touch. At our house, I had them framed so they would look nice and I just simply adore looking at them, it gives me a sense of accomplishment although they’re just simple and easy to make. But, mind you it also takes a lot of patience in order to finished one. When I will have the time, I will try to start cross-stitching again as an addition to my collections.
